The documentary A Faith Under Siege was produced in response to a clear and consequential disconnect.

While white evangelical Christians remain one of the most influential voting blocs in American politics (delivering approximately 80–85% of their vote to Donald Trump in the 2024 election), many are largely unaware of the existence and current suffering of their evangelical counterparts in Ukraine.

This gap in awareness persists despite well-documented evidence that Ukrainian evangelicals, once part of the “Bible Belt” of the former Soviet Union and home to Europe’s largest evangelical Baptist community, are now facing systemic persecution amid ongoing Russian aggression.

A Faith Under Siege provides an unfiltered account of the spiritual and human cost of the war. Through first hand testimonies and on-the-ground reporting, the film documents churches destroyed, pastors arrested, worship banned, and congregations serving as frontline responders even as they are being targeted. It also highlights the mass abduction of more than 19,000 Ukrainian children, many from Christian families in what critics have described as an effort toward cultural erasure.

To bring the project to the audiences most directly positioned to respond, the producers engaged Critical Thinking Media, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in the Christian film and television space. Steve led a targeted distribution and promotion strategy across the Christian media ecosystem, securing placement on platforms including CBN, TBN, Salem Media, Newsmax, and others. He also secured a series on the Angel Studios platform based on a bundle of short films related to A Faith Under Siege. Finally, Steve developed livestream events with key partners featuring post-screening Q&A’s with the film’s production team.

The objective of the overall initiative is to inform and mobilize the American evangelical audience around the realities facing their Ukrainian counterparts, with the potential to influence broader public awareness and U.S. policy toward Ukraine.
